Guide to Ecclesiastes
From RationalWiki
Eccelsiastes is the most nihilistic book in the entire Bible. It is presented as a book of wisdom by a man—known in Hebrew as Qohelet ("leader of the assembly"), and rumored to be an early incarnation of Roger McGuinn—who has realized that everything is worthless, and there is no point to life; to that extent, it's totally Goth. Therefore, one should enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Somehow, most religious people instead get a message of focusing on God, despite only one verse to that effect.
