John Schlafly
From RationalWiki
John Schlafly is a lawyer[1][2]. He is the first son of Phyllis Schlafly, a conservative activist. John is the director of Alton, Illinois branch of the Eagle Forum Education & Legal Defense Fund, a conservative group founded by his mother. In 1992, an article in Queer Weekly revealed that Schlafly is a homosexual.[3]
Both Schlafly's biography page and talk page are permanently locked at Conservapedia, presumably because Andrew Schlafly is embarrassed at having a gay brother given his views of homosexuality. Any references to John are reverted in very short order, and users can be banned for discussing his sexual orientation. Users have been banned from discussing him at all.[4]
John had donated $1000 to aid his brother Andrew in his run for Congress in 1992, which unsurprisingly failed.[5]
The Schlafly family have yet to fulfill their obligation as good Christians to present their rebellious son to the town elders and have him stoned to death as instructed in Deut. 21:18. But to be fair, the liberal bureaucracy of Chicago will tie this simple issue up with a large amount of red tape, so God probably doesn't care. Yet.
