E;R is a right-wing YouTuber who makes video analyses using far-right, neo-Nazi, and fascist talking points. He was propped up by PewDiePie via a shout-out, which boosted his popularity. His videos were later covered by Twitch streamer and YouTuber Hasanabi (Hasan Piker), which resulted in his fanbase brigading and dislike bombing the video and leaving behind snarky and threatening comments.[1]

As a YouTuber, his videos regard critiquing media he dislikes. While some of his criticisms do hold water and his videos and editing style are somewhat enjoyable and unique, his sense of humor disturbingly references alt-right humor and makes one question whether or not he actually holds these opinions. Even if he himself may not be alt-right, his fanbase appears to be rabidly far-right.[2]

General Opinions[edit]

Like most right-wing anti-SJWs, he espouses standard reactionary talking points, and mostly associates himself with white nationalists. He has made multiple references to alt-right conspiracy theories, from Muslim rape gangs in Britain to the death of Heather Heyer in Charlottesville.[3]

He is also an avid anime fan, as his profile picture is adapted from Shiroe from the anime Log Horizon.[4]

He believes that the 2020 election was stolen and that Jan 6th was justified.[5][6]

Hitler obsession[edit]

Perhaps his most notable and disturbing fact is him and his fanbase's admiration for Hitler.

He and his fanbase believe nazism is the lesser of two evils because "communism killed ten gorrilion people" because of course they would.[7] They also have a disturbing admiration of hitler, with him going as far as to post an image of hitler.[8]

Controversy[edit]

E;R sparked massive controversy when Pewdiepie shouted out his channel, stating that he liked his extensive review of Netflix's live action adaptation of the anime, Death Note.[9]

E;R’s fanbase also sparked a controversy of their own, when anime YouTuber Geoff Matthew (better known as "Mother’s Basement") criticized E;R for his views and association with the alt-right. His fanbase responded by brigading him, with one person even going so far as making fanart of E;R holding Geoff’s severed head. Despite this, E;R himself was completely careless and justified it by saying "that's just how internet mafia works".[10]

The final nail in the coffin was when he praised Richard Spencer for "his taste in anime", to which he deleted the tweet...[11] Despite this, his fans supported the supposed crossover and even promoted it.[12]
