Revert Wars

If my well researched additions are going to removed for political and lack of humor reasons, I'm not going to be helping much around here. I thought the section which I added on this article was pretty good. Besides, Linus asked me to take a look at it and improve it. So I did. Boo. Over 100!?

Yeah, I'd say that's a fair removal. The rest, far as I can see, are mostly stuff that right-wing pundits/bloggers have actually attached the word moonbat to, and while the IQ thing might be accurate it's not something they've actually said. --Kels 14:21, 22 December 2007 (EST)

There are other parts that I think need to be removed or altered:

• "People who question the American government in any way." Given that this is entirely dependent on who is in power at the time, I don't see why this is here at all.
• "People who believe extraterrestrial life to be plausible." I've never seen anyone make this claim and call their opponents "moonbats". Not even on conservapedia.
• "People who want to see affordable healthcare for the poor." NPOV, please. I don't think the purpose of rationalwiki was to create a left-wing version of conservapedia, and I'm sure everyone wants to see affordable healthcare for all sections of the population. It would probably be better changed to: "People who want to see healthcare nationalized."
• "People who want their children to be vaccinated against deadly diseases." See previous bullet point. I've changed it to "People who believe that vaccinations are harmful to children."

This is a weird one--Andy hates vaccines, but so do a lot of my Earth-mother vegan natural fibres hippy freak friends; people who are by no means conservative. It seems to be an issue that has multiple political valences. RaoulDuke 18:56, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Perhaps it's more the motive for distrusting vaccines. On the wingnut side, they distrust them because it goes against personal choice or is some grand conspiracy, on the moonbat side, it's because they're nasty, unnatural drugs enforced by Big Pharma. ^theist 19:01, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

I think it's perfectly fair providing you define it based those motives (which are characteristic of many things on their respective extremes) rather than just "they don't like vaccines". ^theist 19:11, 4 November 2009 (UTC)

Doesn't David Icke have a (crypto-)racist ideology and should therefore be considered a wingnut too?

I also would associate Vani Hari with right-wing ideology, but I am unsure about that.
