Talk:Scientific skepticism

Interesting, and true I suppose. I'm left wondering though how "Scientific skepticism" differs from ordinary "skepticism" which I assume every rational person uses.--BobSpring is sprung! 19:31, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

It must be true. I copied it almost word for word from another Rational Wiki page. --Uncle Ed bug me 19:40, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Then why make it a stub? we already have it else where, just make a redirect for heaven's sake. redundancy is not useful or wanted.Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 19:41, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
EC Then there's no need to duplicate it in another stubby article. Hey Ed, were you starved of oxygen during birth, or perhaps dropped on your head as an infant? B♭maj7 “We are moving too fast for any label to stick.”-CLRJ 19:42, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

I was going to expand on the subject. Only someone who opposes scientific skepticism would delete an article on it before it had time to be written out completely. I guess ideological opponents of one of science's key methods don't want anyone to know about it.

Prove me wrong by preserving the redirect, at least. --Uncle Ed bug me 19:48, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Go back to CP and help Conservative with his Flying Kitties. B♭maj7 “We are moving too fast for any label to stick.”-CLRJ 19:50, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Trust me, you have such little knowledge of what skepticism in science is or should be. You have an ax to grind, but this page is filled with people who do science, who love science. i've read your idiotic posts on CP (assuming you are the same). your ability to understand science is worse than most 5th graders.Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 19:52, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

I'm sorry that I don't have as much knowledge about science as you'd like. I know only that it takes time for new ideas to be checked by other scientists. (If I don't "know" even that, because it's not true, then I guess I don't know anything.) --Uncle Ed bug me 19:54, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

You mean "Trus me," right Godot? B♭maj7 “We are moving too fast for any label to stick.”-CLRJ 19:54, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Sighs - watched that go right over my head... jokes iz not gets them.--Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 19:58, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
Ed - what is telling is your focus on "ideas". Ideas are accepted the second they are offered. as ideas. as potential models. as possibility. what they are not is "Theories". that you are lax in your definitions shows that you are either just lazy, or that you have a different agenda. It's not relevant, though -- either way, i've corrected your mismash to the scientific method page.Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 19:57, 31 August 2011 (UTC)
