I have my social reform stuff on http://b.coston.googlepages.com and my LINUX reviews too.

I'm behind on speakers for http://www.EBLUG.org as usual.

VOTING, make sure your algorithm meets "Lesser IIA" or else you get a worse trade off regarding Arrows Theorem. No, using range doesn't make it all better as it collapses to approval under strategy. When Range does not collapse it disenfranchises young women in particular. Approval does not get enough info per voter. Look out, your already using a vote counting algorithm when you ignore this stuff and most websites on the subject contain at least 1 major error. I'm against vote fraud but even more opposed to methods so bad they give fraud results, Plurality + IRV + STV even with proportional representation, without anyone committing any obvious misdeeds.

I like the repugnican comment in particular from http://www.rationalwiki.com/wiki/User:Edgerunner76

LINUX

Well, not yet on my new TL-58 64x2 2/160g laptop from acer. How do I back this thing up ? change bios settings etc.? With old style enabled Vista UI beats both KDE4 and GNOME. reliability beats Ubuntu so far. MEPIS 7 and new PCLinuxOS both work great on my main machine. Excepting a backup problem that may stem from the dvd drive.

2008.01.14 Daniel got SIDUX on my TL-58 laptop to even use the winmodem at 14.4kbps due to proprietary problems. I'm grateful but flash player means immensely more on L2 and all my other boxes as well. My attempts got something in which plays MetroFi-Free ads fine but fails otherwise, with rare exceptions. Neither MEPIS 7 nor the mini version of PCLinuxOS got ethernet working properly. My 64x2 desktop has similar problems. So, my 600mhz P3 slot1 440bx remains the main machine.
