Welcome to RW Ben, hope you enjoy your time here. Trashbat 12:15, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Thanks! I hope so, too! Give me some time to find my way around. Ben 13:07, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Do Not touch ze goat! Ze goat she is mine! And Welcome. ~~ CЯacke® 20:26, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Er, thanks for the welcome... is that a warning of some sort or a joke I don't get yet? Ben 20:30, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Fixing typos[edit]

Re: "a few typos, it's ok right?" -- that's definitely okay except possibly:

  • on someone's user page
  • in a signed comment left by someone else
  • in a signed essay article by someone else

and even then, most people would be grateful rather than annoyed. --jtltalk 20:24, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for the guidance. The first two seem pretty easy to be careful of, is the third one obvious so I don't step on someone's toes? Ben 20:27, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Yes, their names will start with "Essay:" and they'll have a box at the top saying "This essay is an original work by X. Please comment only on the talk page.". At least, they're supposed to; we may have missed some, but I don't think anybody would hold it against you in that case. --jtltalk 20:32, 26 June 2007 (CDT)
Oh, great, that's easy. Thanks again! Ben 20:34, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Relax and have FNU![edit]

Please forgive my little joke above. You can pull up a goat if you want. I'm going to have to go under the impression I'm getting that you're not a 20 something but maybe a bit younger. As the header says have FNU. Do what you can, though this isn't Uncyclopedia, you can be funny or serious, it's up to you. ~~ CЯacke®

Thanks, I think I'm beginning to get the goat thing a bit. You guys, um, like them a lot, don't you? How old do you have to be to get goats? Are there "goat" awards here for content? Ben 18:22, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
Anyone who can prove that they do not intend to injure a goat more than is necessary should feel free to get goat. Just don't mention the unmentionable. User:DocSock

Advice on good pages to go to[edit]

In general, the 'featured content' on the front page is intended to be such a list, but I'll give some personal recs as well. If you're interested in Conservapedia, the Conservapedia category has lots of goodies, including my personal project, the blatant plagiarism page. There's also the newcomer's guide we're working on -- if you're familiar with CP, maybe you could help us with it; if not, hopefully it will be helpful for you. --jtltalk 23:22, 26 June 2007 (CDT)

Cool, thanks! I'm beginning to find my legs here, I think. Not sure if I can write much like I'm reading, but I am content playing with commas right now. "However, he enjoys his time at RationalWiki" - You guys have a TK here, too? The TK? I don't like the TK at conservapedia very much... is there something (another thing!) I don't know about? Anyway, thanks for the links, and I'll keep playing my little random clicks and linkwalks. Ciao! Ben 18:28, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
Fine, just go ahead and mention that! We are open to anyone, even the TK, although he hasn't been around much lately. He mostly trolls, doesn't do a lot of writing. Just don't feed the troll.--PalMD-yada yada 18:31, 27 June 2007 (CDT)
Eh, ok - I guess I read something about conservapedia sysops on the main page? I guess I just hope I don't run into him. Thanks for the heads-up and warning. Ben 18:33, 27 June 2007 (CDT)

Tough talk...[edit]

Watch yr language 'round that TK pitbull, pup. Don't want to get "fixed" now, do we? humanUser talk:Human 01:17, 13 December 2007 (EST)

He could well be older than either of us, you know.....;-) --TK/MyTalk 01:42, 13 December 2007 (EST)
Good point. Put together, even! Seems to have got his grudge out of his system for now, anyway. humanUser talk:Human 14:43, 13 December 2007 (EST)
