I am going to go grill a delicious porterhouse.[edit]

I will be back later tonight. HeartGold tx 20:57, 23 June 2007 (CDT)

Haha, I hope you enjoy it profusely! humanbe in 21:18, 23 June 2007 (CDT)
I did. I cooked my wife a New York Strip. I rewarded my dog with a quarter bottle of beer. (She learned how to swim well today...I threw here in the water--another teenager showed up with four springer spaniels and so my dog was also socialized. I also taught one of this boy's dogs to swim by throwing it in the water too. Springers love the water once you throw them in. After mine made it back to shore, she went back out for another dip on her own.). We had a camp fire tonight after the staeaks and beer, and (I think) contributed to global warming with the fire. Life is good. I hate winter. HeartGold tx 23:23, 23 June 2007 (CDT)

request[edit]

could you protect my userpage? I am leaving this wiki, and it would be much appreciated. Thanks. Bohdan 23:59, 23 June 2007 (CDT)

I will check to see if I am authorized, and if I am, I will. I am a sysop, but not clear on what my powers are and should be. HeartGold tx 00:01, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
I think protecting the user page is allowed. most likely not the talk page. Bohdan 00:02, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
If you're correct, will do. HeartGold tx 00:04, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Thanks. Bohdan 00:05, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Bohdan, you should put the >{{Retired}} template on your user page. After that, any sysop who's around can/will lock your user page for you. --jtltalk 00:08, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Stick the retired template on it and protect it, fine by me. We havent decided about the talk page yet. Thats still up in the air. Tmtoulouse 00:09, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
I just did it. HeartGold tx 00:10, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Hey, can you sleep on it for a day or 6? I think a lot of people liked you Bohdan, and are probably sorry to know you've decided to retire. HeartGold tx 00:23, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
Also, the "retired" template should be all there is on the pages, user & talk. Would somebody please retire TK? Oh, that's off topic. Anyway, go ahead, HG, and do what Bohdan asks. We might also discuss, somewhere, how many times people are allowed to "retire". As in, once? I just finished off the work on his pages. humanbe in 00:31, 24 June 2007 (CDT)

He left a gentle parting shot at my talk page, which I will honor for a day before allowing content. If he's gone, he's gone. If he comes back, see my comment about "how many times one can retire" humanbe in 00:32, 24 June 2007 (CDT)

I think the number of times should be based on the good will of the mob. Or just not worry about it. But I think Bohdan should be allowed back no matter what. Do you know if something upset him? Something I wrote perhaps? Anyway, I though RW would be rather liberal on people retiring, and allow them back at will. HeartGold tx 00:34, 24 June 2007 (CDT)

<-- I agree, completely, with your first point. As far as upset? You've edited at CP. What do you think? We're a fun place to be, but bannable, right?. Cp is a nice fiefdom. I think I tracked why you quit CP - as much as you don't really "fit in" here, ironically, you fit in better (sense of humor, attempts to do intelligent discussion, etc.) here than you did at CP. I really doubt you hurt his feelings. As far as "allowing back at will"... no. That is yet another "rule" that could be abused. I agree with the mob part you said. As in, if Bohdan retires, and comes back, who among us would not welcome him with open arms? Then there's TK, if he retired, and wanted to come back, er... good riddance once should be good riddance and done. humanbe in 00:44, 24 June 2007 (CDT)
