TK says there is a cabal[edit]

  • Hmmm, well, Tmtoulouse told me otherwise. One thing you have to do to change things is start telling the truth, even when it embarrasses or hurts your credibility. --TK /MyTalk 01:43, 23 May 2007 (CDT)

I think the "Cabal" page is just as a joke. Feel free to edit, TK! Just play nice.-AmesG 01:48, 23 May 2007 (CDT)

I think it should be reasonably obvious that somebody is making a joke when the mainpage note "Home of the Cabal" links to a page with the famous quote "There is no Cabal".--Bob_M (talk) 01:56, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
What cabal are we talking about? If the one at WP, I have enough circumstantial evidence to make the case that there is. It might be unintentional (simply a group that largely shares much of the same world view), but maybe you are talking about some other cabal? HGHeartOfGold talk 01:58, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
There were at least four cabals on CP, not counting the sysops, which were independent but overlapping. The largest, and smallest, was one guy with several hundred user names. "Cabal" might be too strong of a word to use for a couple of them, of course. At least one was just a loose agglomeration of users who appreciated each others work. humanbe in 19:24, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
  • Could I edit it to show the other main page, where people are invited to "ruin TK's life"? Or the other page, now deleted, here in 2.0 that said: "TK is one of the more controversial sysops at Conservapedia. He has a very limited understanding of wiki-software and is oversensitive to constructive critisism. TK likes to bully users around and claims anyone who does not agree with his batshit-insane theories is a sock of Icewedge." Does your vaunted "freedom" here include that? --TK /MyTalk 02:25, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
Interestingly, of that quote, the first four assertions are completly true, and the only one that is questionable is the last, since TK on CP does not actually seem to have any theories beyond "doing the master's bidding". But, disagreeing with him, whether one knew one did it or not, does make one a "sock of Icewedge". humanbe in 18:12, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
Without agreeing that the main page ever said that (I don't remember seeing that, but also didn't look at the main page that often), sure, if you put it somewhere appropriate. IE, probably not on the Cabal article. --jtltalk 04:02, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
Also factor in that most of RW 1.0 had no "formal" structure - the main page served as a random message board which we all also defaced for fun from time to time. I think the main page was at its finest on its last day, when it got spray-painted all over the bottom. Actually, in the last day or two, I ran around randomly vandalizing wherever I felt like it, knowing it would all be cleaned up soon. humanbe in 19:24, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
  • I wonder what troll here moved my post, above, the first one, and added the sub header? My of my! Isn't that something people complained of on CP? That headline wasn't made by me, nor wanted. Are some of the Sysops here power hungry? Just because they can, they will? Odd.....--TK /MyTalk 02:32, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
AmesG moved your signed comment from the article page to the talk page, as someone with reasonable understanding of mediawiki could determine in approximately 15 seconds. The "Moved TK's comment to talk page. Signed entries should be on talk pages, eh?" edit summary would be a good clue --jtltalk 04:02, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
Could you learn how colons work to nest talk pages? Just asking... humanbe in 19:24, 23 May 2007 (CDT)
According to TK, I am a member of a "SubHuman Cabal". Would anyone care to explain what he means? Oh, and I'm blocked on CP because of it. Spica 17:12, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
Apparently it means you say mean things about Andy's family on IRC. No, I don't understand either. --jtltalk 17:28, 31 May 2007 (CDT)
You disagreed too much with the official Conservapedia Mentality. This means you're a member of the Evil Cabal (read: "us") thus qualifies you for banning. Speaking more clearly: They made stuff up. You're not the first, though. This stuff happens often enough. =/ --Sid 17:52, 31 May 2007 (CDT)

TINC[edit]

You are n00bs. Seriously, this is obviously a refernce to TINC ("There Is No Cabal") on [[Usenet]].

Er ... did anyone other than TK and Heart of Gold think otherwise? --ויִכִּ נתֶּרֶפּרֶתֵּר שְׁלֹום!
That was really showing your true colors, Wiki. How nice. --TK/MyTalk 11:14, 4 June 2007 (CDT)
Showing my true colours? Then, pray tell, what were these:

Don't assume bad faith. It would seem, from your above comments, that you and HG believed that there was a Cabal, unless you already knew the usenet meme, and were being parodic. --ויִכִּ נתֶּרֶפּרֶתֵּר שְׁלֹום!
