Should the liberal deceit one go under "Social" or something like that? I'd like to add one about Feminism, but I'm not sure how to word it. Maybe you have some ideas? --Kels 17:18, 24 May 2007 (CDT)

Maybe make a "Politics" namespace? I dunno. --Gulik 17:29, 24 May 2007 (CDT)
(Moved the "Liberals are more deceitful than conservatives" under politics--despite some Conservatives' apparently belief that Liberals are the spawn of Satan, I don't think it's really a theological delusion. :D

"lowering taxes is the solution for every economic ill". also, I'm not sure it's a conservative thing or a Schlafly-family thing, but something about the whole Einstein/relativity situation. --jtltalk 17:59, 24 May 2007 (CDT)

"In reply to Johnl's questions for the reverts, the reason is obvious: FDR failed to lead the U.S. out of the depression, instead keeping the U.S. in a depression until WWII. Nor did FDR lead us to victory in WWII. FDR was dying in 1945.--Aschlafly 18:56, 24 May 2007 (EDT)" Apparently FDR didn't lead the nation to victory in WWII, and did nothing to stop the depression. It amazes me how much history is sometimes blatantly ignored by those fools.Prof0705 18:27, 24 May 2007 (CDT)
That's because history has a Liberal Bias. --Gulik 12:36, 30 May 2007 (CDT)
I think it would be worth putting in a clinical definition of "delusions" from one of the psychiatry manuals. I'll dig one up and post a concise definition. Spica 17:01, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

Links[edit]

Is it just me, or is this article just a little link happy? I know red links are inspiration to write, but most of the text here seems to be made into links, many of which I suspect will never be articles. Anyone mind if I trim them down a bit? humanbe in 20:09, 29 May 2007 (CDT)

I'm for it. Leave the ones that could be worthwhile articles, like Global Warming, but take out crap like "Evolution is evil". --Kels 20:11, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
Done. And I made a few links go interesting places, like "gender thingie disorder" to "gender identity" humanbe in 21:43, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
Actually, I do need to write a GID article to refute RobS' repeated assertions that it only exists because they're not allowed to consider homosexuality a mental illness any more. Which is patent BS, of course. --Kels 21:44, 29 May 2007 (CDT)
Yes, it was a bit bit linkhappy, and I did want folks to write those articles--being too lazy to do them all myself. --Gulik 12:36, 30 May 2007 (CDT)

I missed something[edit]

how are we saving vandalism, again? I reverted a little of the mildly funny variety here. ʄĹїþþїɲ;-) 11:59, 20 June 2007 (CDT)

Fantastic![edit]

This Wiki entry should be given to every individual in the US.

Bravo!

How about a link that shows what you are saying? humanUser talk:Human 00:56, 10 October 2007 (EDT)

Double "uh"[edit]

This is starting to look a bit like "EoBiW", could we please source each example? Thanks, CЯacke® 11:57, 15 October 2007 (EDT)

Facts[edit]

Ok, so if "FACTS are liberal lies! ALL OF THEM!", and "Everything broadcast by Fox News is incontrovertible FACT" and "Every word that comes out of the mouth of any member of the Bush family is FACT, except when GWB was 'mislead' to believe in anthropogenic global warming" and "Margaret Thatcher was Our Kind of Woman, and every word that came out of her mouth was FACT", then what is Conservaepdia saying about Fox News, Bush, and Thatcher? Just putting things together... OneForLogic 10:04, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

structure[edit]

can we put the clinical definitions after the examples? Like as an appendix? As it is, it takes a while for the article to get rolling... ħumanUser talk:Human 22:06, 9 July 2008 (EDT)

elasticity of unemployment wrt the minimum wage[edit]

There's a note asserting that a 9% increase in the minimum wage causes only a 1% rise in unemployment. Can anyone tell me where this research was done, or where I can find more info about it? 72.179.182.189 08:37, 21 August 2008 (EDT)

The very definition of a healthy economy requires minimal unemployment. 1% for 9% is a fantastic trade off, for those that are employed... Where's the bleeding heart? Ugh, I feel dirty, more socialised than a "liberal", that's quite disgusting.

Liberal Deceit[edit]

is that correct in terms of word usage. Whenever I see that I think of liberal as generous , as in Iplaced a liberal amount of chocolate on my ice cream . I think I want a word like Liberalistic but thats probably not even a word . :( 67.72.98.45 23:09, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

How about "liberaltastic"? Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 23:45, 23 September 2008 (EDT)

mathematical delusions[edit]

We could put in a section of the mathematical delusions, although these are mostly just held by Andy and quite technical, maybe these should go in the scientific section if anywhere. We could have things like:

Complex numbers are evil. Elementary proofs are essential. The imaginary unit i is doesn't exist. OK, it does but its not well defined The axiom of choice is evil. Proof by contradiction is flawed. The continuum hypothesis is equivalent to the axiom of choice. 14? year old homeschooled students are ready to learn about university level maths.

Maybe with the wording changed to actually make them funny. I'm from England, by the way so I'm not familiar with the American scooling system. Andy's proposed maths course 'critical thinking in maths' was supposed to be 9th grade level. I'm assuming that's about 14 years old? Anyway, it's probably too young to learn about Wiles' proof of Fermat's last theorem.

Course it is too young. But then Andy doesn't *really* have to teach it, never gets exposed as not knowing it, but can *claim* he's an expert cause he *could* teach it, if students could simply understand. (or something like that. It's not unlike teh "I sent my criticism to the Journal but being the liberal they are, they rejected my letter" or "I'm going to make our little school certified, but I don't need insurance cause I'm a charity". --Sun mowse.pngEn attendant Godot"«Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue taking a trip of three steps down the palate to tap, at three, on the teeth. A new dellusion[edit]

Found on liberal delusions page:

"that the Democratic party discriminates against African-Americans. "

Did whoever add this come straight from the 1860's?

They did until the 1960s, with the last remnants staying until the 1970s, or whenever George Wallace changed his position. ConservapediaEditor (talk) 21:01, 20 January 2010 (UTC)

Killing centers?[edit]

I'm confused by the following point at the Historical section:

  • The holocaust was caused by gun control and involved killing centers.

What's with the killing centers addition? It's a conservapedian delusion that the holocaust involved killing centers? Isn't that an okay description of the concentration camps? I don't get it.. --GTac 20:40, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Too many fact tags[edit]

Move to funspace? Lyra § talk 04:45, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm going to revert all the goddamn "Fact" tags, as someone added them to every statement regardless of how obvious. These are the sort of people I want to kick in the nuts at WP. I'll just leave the header at the top to cover the whole article. DickTurpis (talk) 13:32, 23 August 2010 (UTC)
I have removed some of those fact-tags and the mentions to go with them because they weren't backed up. There is no such thing as an "obvious" statement unless you want to criticse what you think Conservapedia says, rather than what it actually says. We could do with some considerable fact checking on this page. Scarlet A.pngnarchist 19:40, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

George Orwell[edit]

What about George Orwell was a closet conservative, and the socialism he professed wasn't real socialism? That one gave me a chuckle when I read it. See here: George Orwell 110.175.156.16 (talk) 00:32, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

conservapedia spreads hate and made me feel stoopid for reading it.[edit]

omg why do i have to say anything more. the articles i read made me hate myself even more. I am afraid all over again of the bigots and morons who believe that what i am is my choice. It strengthens my belief that THERE IS NO GOD or hope for humanity. Thats why I don't fight for my right to marry another man or to adopt children or even vote anymore.

I say hello to everyone I meet. Its things like conservapedia and hate speech and run on sentences that make everyone in the world scared to smile back and recognize me as another human being. 8( — Unsigned, by: 76.189.98.9 / talk / contribs
