The Information Warrior's Handbook[edit]

launch coming soon...--CatWatcher 15:21, 3 June 2007 (CDT)

Who is this Arthur Dent guy?? He writes well.DocSock 13:23, 5 June 2007 (CDT)

Thanks for the compliment. What exactly do you need to know? Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 13:24, 5 June 2007 (CDT)

I was curious who you were on CP or RW 1.0DocSock 13:36, 5 June 2007 (CDT)
I missed out on RW1 (and only found out about it from a link on TK's talk page) but had several aliases/socks on CP and still do. I was a Johnny-come-lately to some of the good British working class culture (Chip-shop, transport cafe, Knotty Ash, assorted drinks etc) but some of my finest edits were in collaboration with CatWatcher (those mistakes have been incorporated into the IW handbook). Particularly Blaenau Ffestinog, I added the "coming together" bit as well as the snooker cues up the Khyber and Welsh slags round the streets of Cardiff bits. Pox has taken a lot of it down now but I still suspect him of being a triple-agent. I also added a lot of proper stuff. I am still active but one needs to be very subtle nowadays. I regard Catwatcher as a bit of a master in his parodies as a lot of it is actually true but you would think it was false, and vice versa. Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 13:58, 5 June 2007 (CDT)
Yeah, Once I read some of those Brit-lits more carefully...I esp like the link to a website in Welsh. Pretty unverifiable to most. DocSock 14:12, 5 June 2007 (CDT)

CP Sysops[edit]

  • No relation. And yes, BethanyS actually did more constructive editing than most of the RW cabal. RobS 18:56, 5 June 2007 (CDT)
I guess irony is lost on CPers - I never really believed that everyone with an S was related Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 06:53, 12 June 2007 (CDT)

"God's peed"[edit]

No offense, but you realize that is ungrammatical, right? Unless "Peed" is a noun I've never heard... humanbe in 02:27, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

pee 2(p) Slang
intr.v. peed, pee·ing, pees
To urinate.
n.
1. Urine.
2. An act of urination

Does that explain it? Would you deny me the justification for the Great flood? God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 03:14, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

It's just the devilish apostrophe I'm getting pedantic about. Past tense phrase (plural subject): Gods peed. Possessive of noun "peed" (one God): God's peed. Contraction of God is peed: God's peed. BUT. It's your thing and you sure as hell don't have to answer to the grammar police (me) for it! I know it's where the great flood came from - God peed, Gods peed, or God's pee. Divinely urinative! (that makes the flood story in the bible a "urinary tract", right?) Cheers, humanbe in 13:16, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
There's no problem with the apostrophe if you regard it as a contraction of God has peed. And I'm just as pedantic. (Apologies for starting a sentence with a conjunction.) God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 13:23, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Brilliant. I bow to your greater pedantry! Sometimes I'm a bit differently developmentally abled slow! humanbe in 13:32, 17 June 2007 (CDT)
Thank goodness that's settled! I like your urinary tract pun BTW. God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 13:35, 17 June 2007 (CDT)

Thank you media star Dr. Lipson. (I supplied the Pleistocene & Exxon Mobile stuff BTW). Is this just a casual passing or are you referring to something in particular that I have missed? God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 14:52, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
Just another way to find grammatical zen in the sign off.--PalMD-yada yada 14:53, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
OK thanks. Honoured to have you around. Exluding the juvenile vandal element here, I think that CP threw out the baby with the bathwater by banning most of us here. CP goes well beyond what most people would call a Christian Conservative remit, Aschlafly has his own definitions of them all, but I can still see a place for CP if they presented both view points (with facts & references) and allowed the reader to decide. howzat - lowered one notch[edit]

this is a load of text just put here to see if airdish's signature wraps properly at the end of a line or not. probabaly have top pad it out a bit more: well? δαιισρΗταλκ 14:27, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

No it's still crap! God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 14:31, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

Airdish - try adjusting the width of your browser window so that the line of text and your sig doesn't quite fit and your sig wraps. God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 14:34, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

The thing looks fine on my side. what exactly is it doing? (not signing cos of consternation) Airdish...

I've compared browsers and it's OK in Firefox but not with an IE rendering engine. If you email me then I can post you an image of what's happening but I can't send it to you through the RW mail system. God's peed Babel fishÅЯ†ђŮŖ ÐΣй†Now look here! 14:44, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

I'm tempted to leave it the way it is because you shouldn't be using ie, but i've changed it - i gues 4 "sup"s in a row isn't very sensible. so here's my new and improved sig (cheers stevo!). δαιισρΗταλκ 16:06, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
I agree. If it works in Firefox and not in IE, I'd say that's perfectly "working as designed". Godspeed. --AKjeldsenGodspeed! 18:32, 19 June 2007 (CDT)
